Medical Examination






Medical examination is one of the main procedures that all foreign workers coming to work in the Kingdom of Bahrain must take to obtain a work permit in the Kingdom of Bahrain:

The worker shall undergo a medical examination in the country of origin before coming to the Kingdom of Bahrain through a GAMCA-accredited medical center and attach the medical report issued with the new work permit application. After arriving in the Kingdom and completing the procedures for the registration of biological data at the airport, a medical examination will be issued at one of the accredited medical centers in the Kingdom of Bahrain. You can view the list of approved health centers
Medical examination of family members of foreign workers coming on a family visa is not required.

General rules to be followed by foreign workers when undergoing pre-employment medical examination

Foreign workers will be screened for a number of illnesses and a report will be issued showing whether the worker is or is not qualified to work. Accredited health centers

Workers outside the Kingdom of Bahrain should undergo a medical examination at a GAMCA-accredited medical center. List of accredited centers in the country of residence

If the country of residence is not included in the above list, you can perform a medical examination at a hospital or medical center in the country of residence with the form attached to the “Unified Medical Examination Form for Countries not under the GAMCA” in the new work permit application.

After the medical examination, a medical report of the results will be issued. The worker must submit this medical report to the employer to request a new permit
